If you see "floaters"....

Eye Doctors examine thousands of patients each year with the complaint of "floaters", usually worsening in bright light conditions.  These floaters are the result of the normally clear vitreous gel inside the eye becoming less transparent.

If you experience floaters it is MOST important that you be seen for a retinal evaluation to determine if the floaters are the result of a retinal tear.  If you see floaters come in immediately because the first 24-48 hours are critical in determining if retinal damage has occurred.
